Airport bus for Belize? Not yet, says BTIA president

By Belize Live News Staff: The idea of an airport bus system in Belize is gaining attention, but officials say more groundwork is needed first.

BTIA President Efren Perez says Belize must focus on strengthening its existing transportation system, noting that many buses are still not up to standard.

He emphasized that improving how people move across the country—from point A to point B—is essential before introducing direct airport connections.

Perez added that enhancing transportation would not only benefit tourists but also locals who rely on public transit daily.

For now, the message is clear: fix the system first, then talk airport bus.
