By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a violent incident involving the alleged abduction, assault, and robbery of a 59-year-old woman from San Lazaro Village.
Esmelda Castaneda reported that she was forcibly taken from her home by two individuals known to her and transported to another location where she was assaulted.
She told police she was beaten with a piece of wood and later lost consciousness. Upon regaining consciousness, she discovered that money she had in her possession was missing.
Medical examination confirmed her injuries as harm.
Police say the suspects are being sought as investigations continue.
