By Belize Live News Staff: A police search in Guinea Grass Village has resulted in the detention of three persons after suspected drugs were found inside a residence.
According to reports, the Quick Response Team carried out a search warrant on Saturday evening at a home in the village.
Inside, officers found three occupants, including two minors. During the search, a container holding a substance believed to be crack cocaine was discovered on a table in the kitchen area.
Authorities reported that the substance was counted in the presence of the individuals and amounted to 27 pieces, with a total weight of 2.5 grams.
All three individuals have since been detained and are expected to face charges as police investigations continue.
