By Belize Live News Staff (HP): Police are investigating a domestic-related incident in northern Belize involving allegations of assault and the removal of a minor.
Initial information indicates that a woman from Guinea Grass Village reported that she was physically assaulted during an altercation with her partner. She stated that during the incident, her partner took her one-year-old child.
Authorities have since issued an alert for the individual, who is believed to be in possession of a knife and may be traveling on a motorcycle.
The complainant has received medical documentation, and police say efforts are underway to locate the individual and ensure the safety of the child.
Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
