Jinny Bustillos charged with multiple traffic offences in Orange Walk

By Belize Live News Staff: Police have arrested and charged 19-year-old Jinny Erlina Bustillos, a Belizean domestic worker of Guinea Grass Village in the Orange Walk District, for several traffic-related offences.

Reports indicate that on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, a Police Constable swore an information and complaint which led to Bustillos being formally arrested and charged.

Bustillos was charged with using a motor vehicle not covered by third party risk insurance and driving without due care and attention.

She also faces a charge for willfully refusing to stop when directed to do so by authorities.

Additional charges include driving an unlicensed motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle while not being the holder of a valid Belize driver’s license.

Police say Bustillos was cautioned following her arrest, at which time she reportedly chose to remain silent.

The matter is expected to proceed through the court process.
