By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Belize City are investigating a traffic accident that left an elderly man hospitalized.
At approximately 6:44 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, officers from Precinct Two Police Station visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital to check on a male individual involved in a road traffic accident along Vernon Street Extension.
While at the hospital, police observed the injured man receiving treatment in the trauma unit.
Medical personnel informed officers that the man was in an unstable condition and was unable to communicate.
Officials confirmed that a medico form had been issued in connection with the incident.
Police say they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the traffic accident.
