By Belize Live News Staff: A 23-year-old woman reported being assaulted by her common-law husband following an argument over a Facebook message.
Police say the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon in San Jose Village when the man confronted his partner about a message she received on social media.
The argument reportedly escalated into violence, with the man allegedly choking and punching her.
The suspect later left the residence. Police subsequently obtained a warrant, and he was formally arrested and charged for harm. The case is now before the court.
