Nearly $1,500 in tools stolen from Orange Walk construction site

By Belize Live News Staff:  Police are investigating the theft of construction equipment valued at $1,490 BZD from a truck being used as storage at a work site near Independence Park.

The incident was discovered Monday morning after the truck had been left open the previous afternoon.

Stolen items include a hammer drill, skill saw, two cordless drills, a grinder, and a tool bag.

Surveillance footage from a nearby establishment reportedly shows an unidentified male entering the site with a backpack and leaving minutes later with a red bag.

No property has been recovered. Police investigations continue.
