By Belize Live News Staff: Inland temperatures are expected to reach a scorching 97 degrees Fahrenheit today as warm and mostly dry conditions continue across Belize.
According to the National Meteorological Service’s morning forecast, Friday will be mostly sunny and hot.
Only isolated showers or thunderstorms are expected during the day, primarily over southern areas this morning and inland areas this afternoon.
Along the coast, temperatures will reach approximately 91 degrees, while the hills will see highs near 84 degrees.
The weather pattern is expected to begin changing tonight.
Clouds will increase, accompanied by a few showers and thunderstorms mainly over southern Belize.
By Saturday morning, a few showers and thunderstorms are expected over most areas. That activity should decrease during the afternoon before increasing again Saturday night, particularly over the south.
At sea, winds will blow from the east at 5 to 15 knots. Waves are forecast at one to three feet with slight sea conditions.
There is also good news in the tropics. No tropical cyclone formation is expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
