Senator Chris Coye is back working with the Briceño administration in a new capacity.
A notice published in the Government Gazette confirms that Coye has been appointed as Belize’s Special Envoy for Finance and Investments.
The appointment authorizes Coye to act on behalf of the Government of Belize in matters related to finance and investment. All relevant agencies have been directed to facilitate his work, which falls under the Ministry of Finance.
Coye had resigned as Minister of State at the end of September, just six months after taking the oath of office, and returned to his private law practice.
He remains a Senator and continues as a partner at the Courtenay Coye law firm.
