Businessman charged for driving under the influence

By Belize Live News Staff: Traffic enforcement efforts over the weekend led to multiple charges in Orange Walk District.

Bernabe Caserez, 47, a businessman of Trial Farm Village, was arrested and charged for driving an unlicensed motor vehicle and driving under the influence of drinks or drugs following a report dated February 14th, 2026.

Meanwhile, Miguel Perez was served with a summons to appear before the Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court on February 27th, 2025, to answer to charges of driving without due care and attention, improper overtaking, and driving an unlicensed motor vehicle.

During the operation, officers checked 60 businesses, searched 17 persons, conducted 10 vehicle checks, issued five traffic violation tickets, and reported six male prisoners in custody.
