Man charged for riding uninsured motorcycle

By Belize Live News Staff: A 36-year-old construction worker from Douglas Village has been charged for use of a motor vehicle not covered by third-party risk insurance.

Shortly after 4:25 a.m. on Friday, 13th February 2026, police on mobile patrol stopped a black JIYO motorcycle being ridden without a helmet. Checks revealed the insurance had expired.

The rider was escorted to the Trial Farm Police Station and later formally charged.
