By Belize Live News Staff: Police are looking into a reported assault involving a motorcyclist that occurred late Tuesday night in Orange Walk Town.
Authorities say they were alerted to the incident after visiting the Northern Regional Hospital, where the injured man sought medical attention. The victim told police that he was riding his motorcycle around 10:30 p.m. when he was struck by an object thrown by a man he was able to identify.
The impact caused the rider to fall from the motorcycle, resulting in injuries to his right knee, elbow, and abdomen. The suspect reportedly escaped the area after the incident.
Police have issued the victim with a medico-legal form and advised him to make a formal report at the station. The matter remains under investigation.
