By Belize Live News Staff: Police have launched an investigation into a harm complaint filed by a woman from San Jose Village following a domestic dispute.
According to police, the incident happened on Sunday, November 23, 2025, when the woman reported that an argument began after she questioned her partner about an unfinished soft drink on the bedside table. She stated that he became aggressive and started shouting at her.
She attempted to distance herself by sitting in the corner of the room, but the argument continued. The woman alleges that her partner then punched her in the ear and cheek, causing her to fall to the floor.
A medico-legal form was issued, and her injuries were certified as harm by a doctor. Police detained the accused construction worker as part of the ongoing investigation.
