Customs seize unlicensed onions and limes from SUV in Orange Walk

By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Orange Walk have seized a large quantity of suspected uncustomed goods from a white Ford Explorer SUV during a routine mobile patrol on November 12, 2025.

The vehicle, driven by 60-year-old Genaro Campos, was stopped near Santa Cruz Road. Four female passengers were present. A search revealed four black plastic bags of white onions and one sack of limes without supporting customs documentation.

The goods were taken to the Orange Walk Customs and Excise base and weighed by officials. The total included 89 pounds of onions and 150 limes. The matter remains under investigation.
