By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating the late-night murder of 37-year-old Ricardo Arturo Escobar, who was fatally shot on Nurse Findley Crescent in Belize City on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Reports indicate that around 10:45 p.m., Escobar was on the street when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire, hitting him multiple times.
He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, but despite medical efforts, Dr. Hsiu pronounced him dead at 10:55 p.m.
Scenes of Crime technicians processed the area and recovered several 9mm expended shells. Investigators believe the shooter fled immediately after the attack.
Police have not yet established a motive for the killing, but sources say detectives are pursuing several leads.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the nearest police station or call Crime Stoppers Belize.
