By Belize Live News Staff: Belize has expressed its sorrow over the death of Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, a distinguished Cuban diplomat and longtime ally of Belize.
Cabrisas dedicated decades of service to the Cuban Revolution and played a central role in his country’s economic and foreign relations. He was remembered in Belize for advancing cooperation between both nations, particularly in health, education, and diplomacy, and for strengthening the bonds of solidarity between the Caribbean and Latin America.
In its statement, the Government of Belize paid tribute to Cabrisas’s legacy of service, recalling his commitment to equity and unity across the region. Belize acknowledged his invaluable contributions to bilateral cooperation and his unwavering support for Caribbean-Latin American solidarity.
