By Belize Live News Staff: The latest act of gun violence in Belize City has left one man dead and police scrambling for answers.
Rasheed Parham was shot dead on Lawrence Avenue in the Martin’s area, a section of the city notorious for gang rivalries and retaliatory attacks.
When police arrived, Parham was already unresponsive. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Scenes of crime technicians are currently processing the area, gathering ballistic evidence, and canvassing the neighborhood for leads.
So far, no suspects have been detained. Police are urging witnesses to step forward as they work to determine the motive behind the fatal shooting.
The killing adds to the troubling pattern of gun violence that has plagued the Martin’s area in recent years.
