By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans are waking up to mainly fair skies this Sunday with warm and pleasant weather dominating the country.
Isolated showers or thunderstorms may pop up during the day, especially in the north this morning. Southern districts can expect some nighttime showers or thunderstorms as the day cools.
Winds will blow from the east to southeast at 10 to 20 knots, making for light chop to choppy seas with waves between 2 and 5 feet. Daytime highs along the coast will reach 90°F (32°C), dipping to around 80°F (27°C) at night. Inland areas will feel the heat at 95°F (35°C) during the day and 74°F (23°C) at night. The hills will enjoy cooler conditions with daytime highs of 82°F (28°C) and nighttime lows of 68°F (20°C).
Forecasters say no tropical cyclone development is expected in the North Atlantic Basin within the next 48 hours. The weather outlook calls for more fair skies on Monday with only isolated showers, but the south may see a few showers and isolated thunderstorms Monday night.
High tide today is at 10:25 a.m., followed by a low at 5:22 p.m. Another high tide comes at 11:20 p.m., with tomorrow’s early low at 5:02 a.m. Sunrise today was at 5:34 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:21 p.m.
The moon set this morning at 6:43 a.m. and will rise again at 7:34 p.m.
