By Belize Live News Staff: The weather over Belize remains stable this Thursday as a light easterly airflow brings mostly sunny skies and warm daytime temperatures across the country. The National Meteorological Service reports that the atmosphere remains relatively moist, but shower activity will be generally isolated.
Forecasters indicate that only a few areas in the south might experience a slight uptick in activity tonight, with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms likely to develop. The rest of the country will enjoy partly cloudy skies tonight with little to no rainfall.
Mariners can expect calm conditions today, with light easterly winds between 5 and 15 knots and seas in a light chop, producing waves between 2 to 4 feet.
Temperatures are expected to soar inland to a high of 94°F, while the coast will see a high of 88°F and hills around 82°F. Minimum temperatures tonight will range from 74°F inland to 82°F along the coast and 68°F in the hills.
The tropical weather outlook remains favorable with no systems showing signs of development in the Atlantic Basin over the next 48 hours.
Looking ahead to Friday, generally fair conditions will prevail across the country with minimal rainfall expected, making for another hot and mostly dry day.
Tidal information for today includes a morning low at 9:11 a.m., followed by a high tide at 2:37 p.m. and an evening low at 8:40 p.m. Tomorrow’s first high tide will occur at 2:38 a.m.
Sunrise today was at 5:31 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:26 p.m. The moon will rise at 11:20 a.m. and set tomorrow night at 10:58 p.m.
