Prime Minister attends Belize Diaspora Summit in Los Angeles

By Belize Live News Staff: Prime Minister John Briceño departed Belize yesterday to participate in the “Belize Diaspora Summit” taking place in Los Angeles, California. The summit aims to foster stronger ties between Belize and its diaspora community, exploring opportunities for collaboration and development.

The Prime Minister is expected to return to Belize on Monday, June 24th. During his absence, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Hon. Francis Fonseca, will assume the responsibilities of Prime Minister.

The Belize Diaspora Summit serves as a crucial platform for dialogue and engagement between the government and Belizeans residing abroad. It provides an opportunity to discuss key issues, share experiences, and explore ways to strengthen the connection between Belizeans at home and abroad.

Further updates on the outcomes and discussions of the summit will be provided upon the Prime Minister’s return.
