By Belize Live News Staff: A Belize City man is in the hospital after being shot multiple times near a primary school this morning.
The victim, 31-year-old Andre Kerr of Custard Apple Street, was hit in the eye, shoulder, and arm. He was quickly taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he is currently receiving medical care.
The shooting happened near Grace Primary School while summer classes were in session. School officials say they immediately called parents and suspended classes for the day as a safety measure.
Police are investigating the incident. So far, no suspects have been detained.
