Sunshine and warm temps as fair weather continues over Belize

Fair and warm weather continues across Belize as Hurricane Melissa poses no threat

By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service reports that today’s weather will be mostly sunny and stable for most parts of the country, with the exception of southern Belize where a few morning and nighttime showers or isolated thunderstorms may develop.

Conditions remain favorable for beachgoers and travelers, as the fair weather is expected to persist throughout the day and into Thursday. Any rain that does fall will likely be brief and confined to localized areas in the south.

Winds will blow from the east at 10 to 20 knots, creating a choppy sea state with waves between 3 to 5 feet. Marine interests are advised to monitor local conditions but no major disturbances are forecasted.

Temperatures remain seasonally hot with inland areas climbing to 93°F (34°C), coastal regions reaching 87°F (31°C), and hill country seeing highs around 78°F (26°C). Overnight lows will dip to 75°F inland, 82°F along the coast, and 68°F in the hills.

The tropical weather outlook remains quiet with no signs of cyclone development across the North Atlantic Basin over the next two days.

Overall, the forecast heading into Thursday is for continued fair weather with just the occasional isolated shower or thunderstorm. Belizeans are encouraged to stay hydrated and take precautions against the midday heat.
