By Belize Live News Staff: BELIZE CITY, Belize, September 13, 2026: Travelers from the United States will soon have more options for reaching Belize as new nonstop routes are added from several American cities.
BermudAir is adding Belize service from Fort Lauderdale, Boston, Raleigh Durham, St. Pete Clearwater and Orlando Sanford, with flights beginning in late 2026 and continuing into spring 2027. Belize already has nonstop connections from major U.S. gateways including Miami, Dallas and Houston.
The expanded connectivity could make Belize an increasingly attractive option for travelers planning winter Caribbean vacations.
Once in Belize, visitors have several distinctly different destinations to choose from.
Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker provide access to island experiences and the Belize Barrier Reef, including popular snorkeling destinations such as Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley.
Farther south, Placencia and Hopkins offer Caribbean beaches, snorkeling, diving and access to destinations such as Laughing Bird Caye and the Silk Cayes.
But Belize’s appeal extends well beyond its coastline.
Western Belize offers ancient Maya sites, caves, rivers, wildlife and rainforest adventures. Visitors can explore Xunantunich, experience Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave or spend their days discovering the natural attractions of the Cayo District.
For travelers who want to experience as much of Belize as possible, a split vacation between the mainland and coast offers an attractive option.
Visitors can begin their vacation near San Ignacio at Villa Massis River Resort, located about 10 minutes outside town. The riverfront resort provides a convenient base for exploring ATM Cave, Xunantunich, cave tubing and other western Belize attractions while providing a relaxing setting between adventures.
Travelers can then continue south to Placencia for a stay at Chabil Mar Villas, combining Caribbean relaxation with opportunities for snorkeling, diving and exploring the Placencia Peninsula.
