By Belize Live News Staff: A few showers and thunderstorms are expected over parts of Belize this morning, but conditions should improve later in the day.

The National Meteorological Service says a gentle and relatively moist easterly airflow is prevailing, bringing sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy conditions tonight.

Morning rainfall activity will be concentrated mostly offshore before moving across some northern and central areas.

By the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms are forecast to become isolated, with generally fair conditions expected tonight.

Inland Belize will once again experience the hottest temperatures, reaching around 95°F or 35°C. Coastal communities can expect highs of 90°F, while the hills will reach around 84°F.

Boaters can expect light chop with waves of 2 to 4 feet and winds from the east to northeast at 5 to 15 knots.

Friday is expected to remain fair and warm, although southern areas could see a few additional nighttime showers.

There are currently no tropical cyclone development concerns for the region during the next 48 hours.
