By Belize Live News Staff: Belize gets a hot one to start the week, followed by a change.
The National Meteorological Service is forecasting 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland today, with the coast at 90 and the hills at 84. Skies stay mostly sunny with only isolated showers or thunderstorms developing.
Then things shift after dark.
Tonight turns cloudy at times, with a few showers and thunderstorms moving over southern and central parts of the country. That covers a good portion of Belize, not just the far south as we have seen most of this week.
Water conditions stay manageable with easterly winds at 10 to 15 knots and waves of 2 to 4 feet.
Tuesday continues warm with isolated activity, and a chance for a few more showers over the extreme south Tuesday night.
No tropical cyclone formation is expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
Drink water and find shade this afternoon.
Are you ready for the rain tonight?
