By Belize Live News Staff: Whoever hit the store on Progress Street came prepared.
Police say the burglars pulled up and damaged the zinc roof on the right side of the building to get in, then pried open the back shutter to get out with everything they took.
That everything added up to $6,448.20.
The list is long and varied. A Dell laptop worth $2,095. A Samsung Chromebook at $1,095. Two speakers at $575 each. Hair cutter machines. Then a substantial haul of alcohol, including Copalli Rum, Tiburon, vodka, white rum, gold rum, beers and coolers.
They also took perfumes, school bags, ice cream and ground beef.
The manager had locked up at 6pm on August 18. By the next morning, word came that the place had been broken into.
Police obtained video footage from the scene and say useful information was gathered. The area has been canvassed.
The matter is under investigation.
Someone knows something.
