A Belizean voice heading to Porto next week

By Belize Live News Staff: When more than 50 nations gather in Portugal next week, Belize will be in the room.

Kimborli Yisel Morales has been selected as an International Delegate and Speaker at the Global Youth Impact Summit 2026, running September 3 to 6 in Porto.

The speaker designation is worth noting. More than 1,000 young leaders will attend, but only a portion of them get to address the floor.

The summit covers what its organisers call the defining problems of the era. Artificial intelligence ethics, climate action, human rights, peace and mediation, health systems, and the Sustainable Development Goals.

It is structured as a working summit, four days of building solutions rather than sitting through presentations.

For a country our size, being represented in spaces like this matters. Belize competes for attention on the world stage with far larger nations, and it takes individuals willing to put themselves forward to make sure we are heard.

Congratulations, Kimborli. Represent us well.

Who else should Belize be sending to gatherings like this?
