By Belize Live News Staff: The south can expect the wettest end to the week, according to the latest forecast from the National Meteorological Service.
An isolated thunderstorm is possible over southern Belize tonight, with a medium chance of a few more showers developing after dark. The rest of the country stays mostly dry.
Friday brings cloudier skies at times countrywide. Showers or thunderstorms will be generally isolated, with a few more possible over the south again Friday night.
Elsewhere, conditions remain warm and settled. Inland temperatures peak around 95 degrees Fahrenheit today, with the coast near 89 and the hills at 82.
In the tropics, forecasters say cyclone formation is not expected over the region during the next 48 hours.
Marine conditions stay manageable with easterly winds of 10 to 15 knots and waves of 2 to 4 feet.
The Atlantic hurricane season runs through November 30, and residents are advised to keep watching daily updates through the peak months.
