The Belize Police Department reports that GI3 personnel, moving on intelligence, searched the abandoned location for drugs and ammunition at about 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026. The palm tree gave up its secret quickly: a transparent plastic bag holding a white buffy substance suspected to be crack cocaine.
Nobody stood nearby to answer for it, so the package made its way to the station, where the scale delivered the number that separates this find from the season’s routine seizures: 30.49 grams. Sealed, labelled, and logged as found property, and easily the largest suspected crack haul in the recent ledger, against street finds that have run four hundredths of a gram at a time.
No arrests, and the matter stays under police attention.
The mathematics of the loss tell their own story. Thirty grams is not a pocket amount, it is working stock, the kind of package a supply chain feels missing, and the fact that police arrived on intelligence rather than luck means the location was known, watched, and burned.
