By Belize Live News Staff: A police officer narrowly escaped harm after being targeted in a shooting in Teakettle village last night.
Based on early information, the officer, who is attached to the Special Patrol Unit (SPU), was in his vehicle when a gunman opened fire, reportedly shooting at him multiple times. Despite the gunfire, the officer was not injured.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are still unclear, and it is not yet known what prompted the attack. So far, no suspect has been named and no motive has been confirmed.
