By Belize Live News Staff: Police in Cayo are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of Allen Gongora in Unitedville late last night.
Reports are that sometime after 10 p.m., authorities responded to information of a shooting near an area off the highway in the village.
According to initial reports, Gongora had been shot and was rushed to the Western Regional Hospital for medical treatment. However, despite efforts to save him, he later succumbed to his injuries.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting are ongoing.
