By Belize Live News Staff: Elias Ismael Tzib of Bullet Tree has been remanded to prison after being formally charged with four counts of assault and two counts of rape.
The charges reportedly stem from allegations made last week involving a student.
Tzib appeared before the court where it was ruled that he will remain in custody until July 14 as the matter proceeds through the judicial system.
