Guyana’s Agriculture Minister Zulfikar Mustapha says Belize continues to stand out as an agricultural powerhouse, playing a key role in food production and security across the Caribbean.
Addressing attendees at the National Agriculture and Trade Show, Mustapha pointed to Belize’s fertile lands, strong farming traditions, and ongoing investments in the sector as major strengths. He noted that the country’s progress is critical to achieving regional food security targets.
The minister also highlighted Belize’s active role in CARICOM’s agriculture agenda, which aims to reduce the region’s reliance on imported food and increase local production.
