By Belize Live News Staff: A routine delivery turned tragic on Tuesday afternoon when a robbery along Chan Pine Ridge Road ended in gunfire.
Delivery man Roberto Villafranco was shot and killed during the incident, while his assistant, Felipe Vasquez, was also shot and is currently in critical condition.
Preliminary reports suggest that the two men were carrying out deliveries around 4:30 p.m. when they were confronted by armed individuals. The situation quickly escalated, resulting in the fatal shooting.
Police are continuing their investigation and say more information will be provided as it becomes available.
