By Belize Live News Staff (HP): Police are continuing investigations into a robbery and shooting incident that occurred at the Northern Naybaz store in Orange Walk Town.
The robbery reportedly happened at about 7:30 p.m. on March 11, 2026, at the business located on Yo Creek Street.
Reports indicate that an unknown individual robbed the establishment before leaving the area.
Shortly after the suspect fled, approximately five gunshots were reportedly heard.
One person was injured during the incident and was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment.
Police responded to the scene along with scenes of crime personnel who began processing the area for evidence.
Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the robbery and the subsequent gunfire.
Store management has indicated that surveillance footage from the business will be provided to assist police in their investigation.
Authorities say the investigation remains active as they seek to identify those responsible.
