Rear-end crash on Northern Highway sends three to seek medical attention

By Belize Live News Staff: A late-night accident on the Philip Goldson Highway has left two vehicles significantly damaged and three individuals seeking medical care.

The incident occurred near a pedestrian ramp at the entrance of the village. According to initial police reports, a white Ford F-150 pickup was traveling toward Orange Walk Town when it slowed down to navigate the ramp. A white Mitsubishi traveling behind the pickup failed to slow down in time, slamming into the rear of the truck.

The force of the impact caused the driver of the Mitsubishi to lose control, sending the vehicle careening across the highway before finally coming to a halt. Both drivers and one passenger reported various pains and were issued medico-legal forms to determine the extent of their injuries.

Scenes of Crime personnel processed the area to document the wreckage. Authorities confirmed that formal statements are still pending as the investigation continues.
