Armed robbers strike food vendor in Ladyville

By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday afternoon in the Lake Garden Community of Ladyville, where a food vendor was robbed at gunpoint inside his yard.

The incident happened around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at a residence located at 10½ Miles Old Northern Highway. Police responded shortly after 5:34 p.m. following a report of the robbery.

According to police, the victim was outside in the front of his yard when two helmeted men arrived on a red motorcycle. One suspect, dressed in a black shirt, reportedly dismounted, pulled out a firearm, and demanded money.

The victim handed over $3,000 Belize in cash and a light blue iPhone Pro Max, valued at $2,300. He was then escorted at gunpoint to his parked pickup and ordered to lie face down on the ground while the second suspect searched the vehicle.

The suspects later grabbed an additional $130 from a bag on a picnic table before fleeing toward the Philip Goldson Highway–Old Well Road junction. Total losses amounted to $5,430 Belize.
