By Belize Live News Staff: Belizeans can expect cool and relatively dry weather conditions to continue today, according to the National Meteorological Service.
In the Morning Forecast issued January 28, 2026 at 6:01 a.m., forecasters say skies will remain mostly cloudy with cool temperatures across the country. Little to no rainfall is expected, except for some light rain and a few showers mainly offshore.
Marine conditions remain a major concern as gusty north winds are blowing at 10 to 20 knots, creating rough seas. Waves are expected to range between 6 to 8 feet, especially in north to northeast swells beyond the reef.
Due to hazardous sea conditions, a Small Craft Warning is in effect. Authorities are advising that operators of small crafts should remain in safe harbour.
Temperatures today are expected to range from 77°F along the coast to 78°F inland, with cooler lows overnight, including 67°F on the coast and 63°F inland. The hills will remain the coolest, with temperatures around 68°F and lows near 58°F.
Looking ahead, the outlook for Thursday and Thursday night calls for fair, cool and mostly dry weather, with little to no rainfall expected.
