Delivery company condemns violence against workers

By Belize Live News Staff: A Belizean shipping company is speaking out after the death of a delivery driver, describing the incident as a tragic and unacceptable loss.

Inter District Shipping said it was deeply saddened by the killing and stressed that no worker should have to fear for their life while earning an honest living. The company offered prayers and support to the victim’s family and fellow delivery workers.

The statement highlights growing unease within the delivery sector, as drivers increasingly face risks while performing routine duties. Businesses have been calling for greater protection and a renewed focus on safety and respect for workers.

As tributes continue to pour in, the company’s message echoed a growing national sentiment: violence must not be allowed to become normal, and the lives of working Belizeans must be protected.
