Escaped detainee Israel Bradley Usher nabbed in Hattieville

By Belize Live News Staff: Police have successfully recaptured 29-year-old Israel Bradley Usher, an escaped detainee who was at the center of a manhunt following a robbery in San Ignacio Town.

Usher was apprehended today in the Bainsville area of Hattieville Village. According to official reports, the capture was made without incident, and he has since been returned to police custody.

Usher was originally detained as part of an investigation into a robbery that occurred on Friday night on the busy Burns Avenue in San Ignacio. Two female tourists were reportedly targeted during that incident.

Shortly after his initial detention, Usher managed to escape from police, triggering a search that ended today in the Belize District.

Authorities are expected to bring additional charges against Usher relating to his escape from lawful custody, in addition to the ongoing robbery investigation.
