By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating after a quantity of suspected cannabis was found abandoned in the Nature Park area of Orange Walk Town on Monday night.
Police said that at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers acting on received information carried out checks in the area. During the search, officers located a transparent plastic bag containing suspected cannabis.
No suspects were observed in the vicinity. The substance was taken to the Orange Walk Police Station, where it was weighed and recorded at 104.1 grams.
The suspected cannabis was sealed, labeled, and recorded as found property, police said, as investigations continue.
