By Belize Live News Staff: A wooden house and several nearby storage containers were damaged in a fire on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the Trial Farm area of Orange Walk District. The blaze was reported around 12:34 pm and police and fire personnel responded to the scene behind a local store on San Narciso Street.
Authorities observed that a wooden structure measuring approximately twelve by twenty feet was engulfed in flames. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the structure was completely destroyed along with its contents and a nearby shed of similar size.
Police spoke with the occupant of the residence who stated that he had secured the home and left for work around 5:00 am. He was later notified around midday that the structure was on fire.
Investigators also interviewed the property owner who said the area was used for storing goods inside three containers. A thirty foot container stocked with toilet paper products was completely destroyed, while a forty foot container holding charcoal and cement sustained partial damage. A third container was not affected. The goods were insured.
Scene of crime personnel documented the area and police are awaiting a Fire Department assessment to determine the cause of the blaze. No injuries were reported.
