By Belize Live News Staff: Results from the United Democratic Party’s National Convention show commanding wins for Sheena Pitts as Chairman and John Castillo as Vice Chairman, following combined tallies from all three voting stations.
Pitts led the chairman’s race with 265 votes, far ahead of contenders John Saldivar (99) and Roosevelt Blades (76). Her victory positions her as a key figure in the party’s renewed leadership structure.
Meanwhile, Castillo emerged victorious in the vice chairman contest with 255 votes, defeating Ivan Williams, who received 168. Party insiders say the results signal a move toward unity and rebuilding as the UDP adjusts to its new leadership era.
The election outcomes solidify the team that will support the party’s strategic direction in the months ahead.
