By Belize Live News Staff: The Belize Met Service reports that moist and unstable conditions will continue to affect Belize’s weather throughout today and into Wednesday. Residents can expect sunny weather mixed with periods of cloudiness, especially during the afternoon hours when moisture increases over the mainland. A few showers are expected to develop over northern and central districts, with the slight possibility of an afternoon thunderstorm.
Tonight, cloudiness will increase, particularly over southern and coastal areas, where additional showers and isolated thunderstorms may form as moist air converges along the coastline. Inland areas will experience mostly isolated activity.
Over the sea, the Met Service forecasts choppy conditions with E–SE winds between 5 and 15 knots. Waves will range from 3 to 5 feet, and boaters are advised to navigate with caution. The warm daytime temperatures will reach the mid-80s along the coast and inland, cooling significantly overnight.
Looking ahead, the Met Service says Wednesday and Wednesday night will bring more cloudy periods, with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms likely across the country, especially along the coast. By Wednesday night, activity will favor southern coastal areas, with only isolated showers elsewhere.
Moonrise today occurs at 10:29 a.m., with moonset at 9:52 p.m. The updated forecast was prepared by Tareek Matthews of the Belize Met Service.
