By Belize Live News Staff: Belize can expect fair weather with brief cloudy intervals today as a moist and unstable airflow lingers over the region. While much of the day will remain sunny, tonight’s conditions will shift, with cloudy periods and scattered showers expected, especially across central and northern districts.
Over open waters, boaters should expect choppy seas and easterly to northeasterly winds ranging from 5 to 15 knots. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s inland and mid-80s along the coast before dropping to cooler nighttime values.
No tropical development is forecast across the North Atlantic Basin, and no systems pose any threat to Belize. Looking ahead to Tuesday and Tuesday night, coastal showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely to continue, again favoring central and northern portions of the country.
The next high tide occurs shortly after midnight at 12:01 a.m., while the moon is expected to rise at 9:44 a.m. and set at 8:58 p.m. The forecast was prepared by Catherine Cumberbatch.
