Shipyard resident found dead in shed, Police rule out foul play

Grim discovery: Couple finds man's body while clearing Orange Walk farm

Police are investigating the death of 55-year-old Johan Fehr of Camp 5, Shipyard, Orange Walk District, who was found lifeless inside a zinc shed on Sunday, November 16, 2025.

Officers were led to the scene by the deceased’s son, 18-year-old Berhard Fehr, who reported that his father had been drinking earlier that morning and left the house around 7:15 a.m. Approximately 15 minutes later, Berhard discovered his father dead inside his residence.

Scenes of Crime personnel processed the scene and no foul play is suspected. Johan Fehr was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:45 a.m. A post mortem examination is pending as police continue their investigation.
