By Belize Live News Staff: Police are investigating a domestic violence case in Orange Walk Town after a woman reported being assaulted by her common-law husband.
The incident occurred around midnight on November 6 at a home on Savanah Street. The man allegedly punched her multiple times in the head and ribcage before striking her with a piece of iron, causing a head injury.
The victim sought medical attention, and her injuries were classified as wounding by a doctor at the Northern Regional Hospital.
Police have confirmed that court action is being pursued in the case.
