San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town Council welcomes new deputy mayor Sandra Lanza

By Belize Live News Staff: The San Ignacio and Santa Elena Town Council has officially welcomed Mrs. Sandra “Tosh” Lanza as the new Deputy Mayor, recognizing her as a dedicated community leader ready to take on expanded responsibilities in local governance.

In a public announcement, the Council outlined Mrs. Lanza’s role, which includes assisting the mayor with administrative and ceremonial duties, representing the towns at events, and overseeing key municipal initiatives. She will also chair council meetings and serve as acting mayor if the mayor is absent or unable to perform his duties.

The Council praised Mrs. Lanza’s dedication and community spirit, noting that her experience and approachability make her a strong choice for the position.

Community members have expressed pride and optimism about her appointment, congratulating her for her continued service to the people of San Ignacio and Santa Elena.
