Scattered showers and thunderstorms expected across Belize today

Wet weekend ahead as Belize prepares for more showers and thunderstorms

By Belize Live News Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize (NMS) says that moist and unstable conditions will continue to influence the country’s weather today, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms across several areas.

Forecasters expect cloudy skies at intervals, with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the morning gradually increasing by this afternoon. Tonight, most of the activity will linger over the south, coastal areas, and offshore waters.

Winds will be light and variable, blowing from the north to northeast at 0 to 10 knots, and seas will remain slight with wave heights between 1 and 3 feet.

Daytime highs will reach around 92°F inland, 87°F along the coast, and 81°F in the hills. Nighttime lows will drop to 70°F inland, 76°F along the coast, and 67°F in the hills.

The NMS says similar conditions are expected on Wednesday, with more afternoon showers possible in the south and along coastal areas.
